An older 2004 review, but still a good read:

What a wild design, reminds me of the scary "medical sharps" symbol.

Expensive at $149.95 list back then, available around $66 now.

I bought ours in December of '04 for $90. I opened it up (because I
was nosy) and placed a bead of silicone bathtub caulk around the top
and 2 sides of the cover to _really_ keep the water out. I also use
clear silicone grease (not a glue) on the 'F' connector under the
rubber boot with Belden 1694A cable. Working as perfectly today as
then. The spectrum analyzer performance I get on all the LA stations
is considerably better than any of the examples they show. The video
is consistently excellent. Non amplified, split 4 ways at 35 miles in
90274.

You should try the CS-102 HDTV/DTV antenna from http://kowatec.com/ .
It's a high gain passive antenna with no amplifier. It gives very
sharp crystal clear signal.
It's really amazing. It works on my hdtv, PC and my laptop with a
tuner.
You should get on too. VERY cheap $49.99.

Huh, looks good- very highly rated by Putman, too.

G²: Wow, four-way split with no amplifier.

What's a good choice these days for a spectrum analyzer? Or did you borrow
yours from work? ;-)

Tek 2712 borrowed from work though had suggested the
ICOM PCR-1000 as a low cost option for home use. It looks like a good
possibility.
