Hi,
I have a V+ box in a cupboard under my TV. As the V+ box is behind doors, whenever i want to change channel i have to open the door. Is there any way of attaching a sensor to the V+ box that will allow me to change the channels while the doors are closed? I noticed that there is a Remote Sensor IN socket at the rear of the V+ box. Hope someone can shed some light? Anthony |

I don't know about the Remote Sensor input. The best resource for the answer to your enquiry are the virginmedia newsgroups, staffed by VM techs. The newsgroup you need is virginmedia.support.tv The newsgroup server that I use is text.news.virginmedia.com |

Anthony I cant give you a specific link, but I've seen little gizmos that have an IR receiver at one end of a cable, and a transmitter at the other(and possibly a little box of tricks in the middle). You could get one of these, and mount the receiver outside the cupboard, with the transmitter inside pointing at the V+ Box's receiver... Good Luck, This sort of thing... http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?...5&doy=28m2#faq .....or this sort of thing, http://www.nebula-electronics.com/in....asp?Code=0702 -- Ian |

(Remove Elvis's shoes to email me) Tie a string to the door handle and yank it open when you want to use the remote - fix an elastic band to the door to make it auto-closing........... Or, better still, how about fitting a remote controlled garage door opener? |
