I had a Loewe Aconda 38 for two weeks. I had them exchange it for a Sony
GWIII 42" LCD RPTV because of the following issues:

1. Blue fuzz allegedly caused by "magnetic waves" and supposedly couldn't
be fixed.
2. A red blob that ran top to bottom on the left side of the screen during
HD broadcasts periodically.
3. Inputs---of course I knew when I bought it that it had only one
component input, but I believed the sales staff when they told me I could
use the VGA input as another component input with a simple cable. Actually
it's a box that costs $300. By that time you might as well by a good
component switching box for $150.

When I got the Sony, I realized an added benefit of the new tv--it scales
4:3 automatically when watching HD Cable and 16:9 automatically as well.

The black levels were tons better on the Loewe. I wanted like heck to keep
it, but I'm glad I switched. There's less glare on the flat screen, I have
a DVI input now just in case and two component inputs.
