With freeview and a flat screen, and for a sensible price.

Am I looking for the unobtainable?

There's plenty of 19" screens about with Freeview. Can you compromise for an
inch?
There's a nice looking Humax 19" at about £200.

Not seen any 20's that I can recall.

Depends what is a sensible price. Toshiba do a 20W330D as well as a
19W330D, both 1366 x 768 with HDMI and under £280 and £230 online.

You will probaly be able to find a 19" or 22" with a 16:10 aspect ratio but
not 16:9.

I don't think I've seen a 20" 16:9. 19 or 23. 19 widescreen is pretty
small when things switch to 4:3. 23" 16:9 is about the same size in 4:3 as
a 20" 4:3.
