DirectTV HD Broadcast Resolution

Does DirecTV HD broadcast in 1080P? I'm trying decide if it's worth
paying more for a 1080P TV.

Don't know about DirecTV, but you might as well get the 1080P set.
Sooner or later you will want a HD DVD player, then you will not be
sorry.

keep in mind - you need a 1080p tv to see 1080i at it's best too - i'm
talking lcd/ plasma here rather than crt.

DirecTV HD broadcasts are 1080i. I seem to have read here that the
only way one can get 1080p content is via a HD-DVD or Blu-Ray.
However, my 1080p DLP Samsung looks great with a 1080i signal from
DirecTV.

DirecTV HD broadcasts are 1080i. I seem to have read here that the

Most modern PCs will output at 1920x1080 if you want to use it as a
high end monitor ... g
