Default Power Management - LCD - Standby Mode

Does anybody have any good place to find info on power management for
LCD Monitors in the 40+inch category?

I would like to have one that goes into standby mode when video signal
is cut. Also, it needs to come back from standby when video signal
is restored.

Any help and/or direction is appreciated.

Peter,

Thanks for your reply. Getting many of the TVs into standby/power
down mode is not an issue for me, as most newer LCDs offer the power
down on loss of signal. I guess the difficult thing for me is getting
one to come out of standby when the video signal returns (sort of VESA
compliant - like PC monitors).

I believe this is a setup option on many TVs - at least it is on my new
Panasonic plasma. You can set it to go into standby if the signal is
lost or if the signal does not change for X minutes (for example, a
paused DVD).

I think you'll have to get specific information on the models you are
considering.

Right now, I have had a Sharp LC-42D64U tossed at me. It has the
inactivity power down, but I cannot seem to "wake it back up" when the
signal is restored.

Thanks again
