Amazon has what appears to be a very nice price on this unit right now.
$829 w. Free Shipping.

Any thoughts or comments on this unit or the price?

Thx

I bought this unit last year. Overall I am very satisifed,, crisp
picture, excellent choice of inputs. That price is several hundereds
less than I paid at Best Buy. A couple of gripes...

The stand is crooked, so the tv isn't level on the cabinet without some
propping up of one side, This may be unique to my set... I haven't
bothered to return it.
For a while, the sound would drop off when using the HDMI input from the
Comcast Motorola STB. I would have to either cycle through the inputs or
turn the set off and on again to get the sound back. I still don't know
whether this may have been a STB issue or something with the tv, but I
got a firmware update from Samsung and this is no longer occuring.
When using HDMI (I don't use component) the aspect ratio commands don't
work as I would have expected. If the broadcast is 4x3 and letterboxed,
you cannot zoom in to fill the screen with the proper aspect ratio. You
can if you use S-video, but not HDMI. I don't know if this is true with
other sets or not.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy one at that price, contrast ratio is
excellent, and with a good digital signal you will be happy with the
picture.
