Is there a way to reset to factory settings in your menu?

You mean clever.

Don't you just really hate

it when that happens.

Default Freeview died?

said the following on 27/12/06 08:38:
Dear all,

My Freeview suddenly stopped working on Christmas Eve, saying there was
'no signal'.

I'm sure everything was all connected OK, and I double checked
everything was plugged in, and the video, DVD recorder, and analogue
telly all still worked fine.

By this morning, 60 hours later, I could find no information about the
transmitter, Crystal Palace I think, being down, so I wondered if it
had somehow got un-tuned (perhaps by a meddling relative fiddling with
something). However, re-tuning only brings up that it cannot find any
digital channels, only analogue ones, and add new DVB service doesn't
find any.

Any ideas, clues, help, suggestions etc. gratefully appreciated!

Many thanks,
Michael

To paraphrase the IT Crowd "did you unplug it from the mains and plug it
back in again ?"

Honestly, if you have the unit anywhere near a boiler or heating system
that'll either lock it up or black out the screen, the latter especially
annoying if having set the DVD recorder to record something as I have
had happen.

Richard.

This happened to me a few months back.
The problem was that I had put the dect phone base station next to the
Freeview box.
