Default Panasonic TUCT30 STB OAD

Hi, I've inherited a Panasonic TUCT30 Freeview STB and wanted to use it
with a spare TV. It works great and has the usual now/next information
but its software version (can't remember right now what the version
number is) only makes it "EPG-ready" for the 8-day epg. I'm sure there
must have been a software update via OAD over the years but the previous
owner never updated the box. Does anyone know if Panasonic still send
out OADs for this box (unlikely I know) or else, how could I possibly
update it (if at all)?

Many thanks in advance.

I know this was a pretty stupid question, given how old these boxes are,
but I hoped someone would at least take the trouble to tell me that ;-)

Your best bet maybe to check the web for an update. Does the box have
a socket that can be connected to a PC?

Cheers. I don't think there's a socket but will check on it.

Bugger! I suppose contacting Panasonic would be the only other
option.

Yes that's a possibility although STBs are so cheap now that I may just
go out and purchase another if the lack of EPG gets to be sufficiently
annoying. I notice on Panasonic's web site that they don't even do STBs
any more.

I'd be a little surprised if the STB didn't have the latest OAD since it is
done automatically if left tuned to a BBC channel, which is quite likely
if the previous owners left it powered up at the time the OAD was
published. Why not get the current version number and ask again?

An update has been broadcast earlier this year - about once a month

Thanks, I shall keep looking but don't expect an update.

Haven't yet looked at my s/w version but I think it's old - the previous
owner didn't leave it on BBC1 I think - she's more of a Channel 5 person
