Recently purchased a Sony Bravia 40" W series LCD tv and would like to
know how I can turn off the input labels. When I use the tools menu and change from the TV to watching a dvd using HDMI1, a label HDMI1 appears white text on a grey background in the top left hand side off the screen. How can I turn this off? This occurs with any input source except the TV. I have been through the manual cover to cover many times and cannot find how this can be done. Thanks... |

Im sorry I just reread your post. My directive was for changing the
label name given to each input. You're saying the lable stays on all the time? Do you have a "display" button on your remote that should turn the lable on/off. |

There is no Display button on the remote.
However the top left button toggles various items to show/not show on the screen and whatever I did last night appears to have fixed the issue. The input labels show initially but then disappear after a few seconds. Thanks for your response. |
