It's not as black and white as that.

There should be a good amount of willingness to accept the customs and way
of life of the country you move to , but equally there's no necessity to
abandon everything relating to where you lived before.

support Nick Griffin", "I support Ian Paisley", or "I'm Gordon Brown".
Everyone else flies the Scottish, English or Welsh flags, or the Irish
tricolour.

Round here the flag of choice for Nick Griffin supporters is the
English flag. Don't think I've ever seen a Union Flag being flown in
that context.

A bit like the Labour scum stealing England's red rose symbol.
