Britain is now a multi-cultural society and flying the Union Jack is basically saying "your excluded" to many ethnic groups. Isn't it time in this day and age, in the 21st century, to ditch this piece of racist gabage? I mean British Airwrays scraped it ages ago. Scraped what? the UJ |

I see scarcely any individuals flying national flags in the UK or The Irish Republic (more than a mile or so from the border). DG |

I don't see much in the way of requests to stop flying the Stars and Stripes in the USA, for example and the people there are comprised of as many originating nationalities and creeds and religions as you could imagine - they don't feel excluded, it's their flag, whatever their family origins. This is our flag. So what you are suggesting is that flags in general should be scrapped. I cannot see why the union flag is any different - oh yes, *some* Scots and others may not like being a part of this particular union but that is a whole different question. -- Wilf |

In USA you have to be American. They got more sence than here, if you not noticed they have made English a dirty word now. Regards David |
