Like a fool I agreed to go out with some friends to a pub where there was to
be a comedian. The comedian came on and his first line was "Are there any ****in' Pakis in here? If so, **** off!" After that the act went downhill. He went on to insult every ethnic group in the world, women, homosexuals, the pub, the town, the people behind the bar, and each member of the audience (individually). His joke telling was **** poor, and I would not have believed that anyone could attempt to earn a living as a comedian when they were not intelligent enough to tell jokes properly. What a waste of an evening. I just had to tell you this, to get it off my chest. I'm off to bed in disgust. Bill |

There was a pub in North London and the owner wanted a comedian, a new act,
fresh ideas etc. He heard that a young comic in Iraq was filling halls with a wonderful act. He flew out and sure enough the young comic had the audiences laughing their heads off. The publican gave him a contract and the first night in North London was a sell-out, people splitting their sides, etc. After the show the young comic asked if he could ring his mum. "Mum, had a wonderful time the audience, the media everyone was after me, what a wonderful opening night. How are you? How am I? Terrible, your father went out and was shot and robbed, your sister and I were gang raped. "Oh mum, I'm so sorry." "Sorry, Sorry, It's your fault we moved to North London." -- John the West Ham fan "Bill Wright" wrote in message ... What a waste of an evening. Maybe you missed the irony in the performance Bill? Wasn't he performing the actions of a deranged character? One that the audience should have taken the **** out of... but due his poor performance that night, probably going over the top and maybe getting some sympathy from some BNP nutters in the crowd, the type of humor so well done by Alf Garnet (Warren Mitchell) didn't present itself. How many hecklers were present? Did they have enough beer to drink before the performance started? -- Adrian C |

No, it would have been a waste of appalling chilled 'lager'. That's all there was. Bill |

The heckler walked out. Maybe we should have done the same, but I was a sort of invited guest of the people I was with and it would have spoilt their evening. Bill |

Sounds like a quick replacement with extracts from "Rigger's Diary" would have gone down a lot better, even with an audience who little/nothing about aerials and transmission. -- Nigel Cliffe, Webmaster at http://www.2mm.org.uk/ |

"Bill Wright" wrote in message ... Like a fool Bill Yet another off topic post that is probably an invented story for more attention. The pub/club would have told him to stop it, people would have left if they were offended. Those who might have chosen to stay must be idiots - if any of that even happened. Going by other posts I don't think I can believe a word you come out with now! |
