Hi

I have a standard panasonic widescreen tv (not flatscreen)

It has 2 scart sockets, 1 set of "yellow, red and white" phono sockets and
1 other input (looks like a PS2 port found on a computer)

My computer has a graphics card (Ati radeon 7000) which has a yellow phono
socket for output.

When I connect this to the phono socket on the tv, the picture is flickery
and fuzzy.

What can I do to improve things?

I am not going to be buying a flat screen TV so HDMI is out of the
question.

Darren

I have since tried an S-Video cable and the picture is much more clear (can
read icon text etc)

However, it hasn't eliminated the flicker - Should I buy a new modern
expensive card to try and combat this??

only way to get a decent picture really is to use a graphics card with dvi,
hdmi or vga output - or perhaps component at a stretch, to the same input
on the tv.
s-video will never give a computer monitor quality display on a tv
regardless of how new the card is.

you don't - if s-video is all you have, s-video is the best you will get -
which you don't seem to be enjoying.
so if you want better, it's new tv time.....
