Default guatamala satalite customers get more than we do

I spoke to another member of my health club about pay TV. He has relatives
in Guatemala and a friend there who watches satellite TV in Guatemala City;
he receives stations from England, France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Japan-i.e.
hundreds of stations from all over the world.

Why can't we? I'm almost sure that he dosn't pay as much as we do for much
less.

It's a government ploy to reduce illegal immigration.

You can, and it's free. It's called FTA satellite and it's been around for
years for free. There's about 3000 stations available. And yes, they are
free. But, you can't get the so called premium channels for free. At least
not legally.
