I noticed this crap got installed automatically the other day, and it
irritated me that I had to go and delete yet another crap channel.

I think that you get irritated by the wrong thing.

I would far rather have to do this than come home from a week
away to find that I have recorded 5 hours of "dave" instead of
TV History.
