Which was in the main originally aimed at the (now sadly defunct) service
industry, so who will now be their target readership?

I see the advert is asking for subscriptions for the (new) magazine, being
one who got caught with a unfilled subscription for that other magazine,
Home Technology I will not be subscibing until I have seen the first copy
come off the press.

Lol yes I got stitched up on the subscription too. Paid for a year and only
got 2 magazines or something before it all went pear shaped! Won't be in a
rush to take out a new one that's for sure.

I had a three year subscription which was four months in. Eventually got a
refund cheque.

Didn't you contact them ?

Regards
Colin.

Yes I had to ask for a refund too, what a cheek. Though I did then get it. I
would like to subscribe to the new magazine but the web-site isn't well
developed, like many I think I will wait and see.

From now on and for the next 5 years they should be able to capitalise on
the widespread confusion caused by analogue switch off. The service industry
may be very small, but we're in for a boom for aerial and TV installers.

There may also be a reasonable market for "amateur techies", people who want
to know more than consumers ought to know, and would work in our service or
consumer electronics design industries if they existed. They're like our
rocket scientists. Britain has enough geniuses with enough enthusiasm to
lead the world in space, but no one will pay them. However, they can at
least read about their favourite subject in monthly magazines while their
talents go to waste.

Nah!.. There used to be a thing called the TV trade, but the "market"
and consumerism and Job Public wanting everything at the lowest possible
price saw them off some while ago now......
