Any opinions on which of these would be the most satisfying TV
to start off my media room purchases? Both have HDMI 1.3, etc. I will be adding DVD player and sound system later. Seating will be at about 10.5 feet from the screen. Mitsubishi WD-65733 65" DLP Projection TV Sony - 60" 1080p Rear-Projection SXRD HDTV |

Mitsubishi WD-65733 65" DLP Projection TV Sony - 60" 1080p Rear-Projection SXRD HDTV Mitsubishi, hands down. You will get a picture without the laser bright white spots that Sony and JVC suffer from. True color reds also, not oranges. D |

Mitsubishi WD-65733 65" DLP Projection TV
Sony - 60" 1080p Rear-Projection SXRD HDTV Mitsubishi, hands down. You will get a picture without the laser bright white spots that Sony and JVC suffer from. True color reds also, not oranges. D I don't know much about the Mitsubishi, but I have a Sony 55" and I love it. it was really! bright out of the box, and the colors were a little off but then I adjusted it and came up with very close settings to these used by cnet: http://reviews.cnet.com/9601-4_7-0-4...sageID=2506536 (also I use it in power saver mode) And now I love the picture, I use the HDMI input with an ATI 9600pro fed through a DV to HDMI cable, so this avoids the bad VGA input that Sony put with the set. It also has a really good scaler for watching 480i content |

Seen way to many of the items in the brand (other than Mits) that have
encountered optic block problems already. For me the Mits woulde be the ticket even if it were a bit more expensive. "cr500r" wrote in message ... Mitsubishi WD-65733 65" DLP Projection TV Sony - 60" 1080p Rear-Projection SXRD HDTV Sony...a four letter word. Heres the best reason to go with the Mitsubishi....courtesy of AJ (snip) "so this avoids the bad VGA input that Sony put with the set." Sony quality is the pits these days. |

Mitsubishi WD-65733 65" DLP Projection TV Sony - 60" 1080p Rear-Projection SXRD HDTV If you are considering either of those, you might want to take a look at the Toshiba 65HM167. Its a great 1080P DLP, especially for the current street price (~$1600). We sit 11' from ours, 65" is not too big. Matthew -- I'm a consultant. If you want an opinion I'll sell you one. Which one do you want? |

Actually that was courtesy of me (cr500r) the one who is happy with the set,
and the VGA input is a known problem well documented in every review, it's analog anyway. Buy a cheap dv to hdmi cable (about $10 from newegg) and the problem is solved "Deke" no wrote in message ...
