In the past I've seen these pop up for a brief period, then disappear. In
today's England match on BBC1 the "Live Snooker" option caption was irritatingly shown throughout the match. Is there a way to kill such annoying bits of screen clutter? I've tried obvious key presses to no avail. |

Seems to be a pretty universal way of getting rid of the prompt. |

One thing I wish we could disable is the woman doing sign language on programmes shown late at night on some channels. More than once I've recorded a movie only to find it un-watchable for that reason. Why it's necessary I don't know, when there are switchable subtitles available. |
