Manual digital settings on old digital TV

My friend's old Panasonic TV was one of the first digital sets. It has
ony 2 digits for the LCN, so if you reinstall some of the channels are
lost. I am therefore trying to set the missing channels manually (on
Sandy Heath transmitter), in particular, BBC4.

As an example, the manual tuning screen shows something like this.

Preset Digital/Analog Channel Service Program
84 DIG 42 04 CBBC

The above example is for CBeebies.

For example, I know that BBC4 is on Multiplex B, so if I search on
there I should get BBC4. I searched on channel 42 and 43 But how does
the Multiplex correspond to the above settings? I would be grateful
for advice on that. Bill

No, it's for CBBC, which is on Mux 1, which is on UHF Ch 42

Cbeebies is on Mux B which you'll find on UHF Ch 67

The Muxes and channels on Sandy a

Mux Chan
1 45
2 42
A 43
B 67
C 40
D 46

A channel scan should get BBC4, unless you don't have fairly good reception
If your signal is weak, or a long aerial run then you may not get Mux B (Ch.
67) as cable losses at that frequency are quite high.

That I think is probably the reason BBC4 isn't tuning in.

You've got Mux 1 and 2 round the wrong way I think ?
