Afer all the hype and adverts about V1 being 'proper telly' they can't even
show programmes in the proper aspect ratio. Muppets! |

Two cracking good shows, didn't notice the 'aspect ratio' - whatever that may be. ;-) Very different cop show in "Criminal Minds" and superb performance by Eddie Izzard in "The Riches". Ian |

I can understand Virgin1 wanting to start showing Season 3, as LivingTV is currently showing Season 1. However, the episode that Virgin1 showed is Episode 3 of Season 2. Why jump straight into the middle of a season? -- Enzo I wear the cheese. It does not wear me. |

Apparently they did it because S02E01 is a conclusion of last seasons cliff-hanger - which they (Virgin1) have obviously not shown - and S02E02 deals with a child porn ring - which they felt was a little too downbeat for a launch night schedule (regular serial murder is fine). Reasons - if poor ones. |

Is it worthwhile starting with it now? Something like Silent Witness does not really require any previous knowledge. The only back plot is Nikki & whatshisface flirting over trays of brains and the "family" issues of their boss Leo. -- DavidM www.djmorgan.org.uk |

I only started watching from the last half dozen episodes of season 2 on Living and enjoyed it. I haven't noticed anything really that's stood out as WTF? because of something that may have happened in previous episodes, but then they may have gone completely over my head anyway. Now watching it from the start of S1 on Living and there's one or two little things that I've noticed that have relevance to what happens later, but nothing you *need* to know. They're all pretty much standalone episodes anyway. -- Sean Black |

None of the flextech playback suites have widescreen. Living is getting
it early next year so Virgin1 should also go WS then. What requires a transmission suite to go widescreen, surely aspect ratio conversion means there is more equipment in the transmission chain . Dave |
