Does anyone whether the Winter Hill transmitter is down at the moment? A
friend of mine in Liverpool says that he was away for a week and came back finding that he was not receiving any programs from his set-top box.It was fine before he went away. He has done a scan and the box reported no signals found. He did a shut down and unplugged his box for 45 minutes, did another scan by following the setup from beginning to get the same result. Is there a way to find out what the tramsmitters are in that area and whether they are functioning correctly? Thanks in Advance |

Has he checked that his aerial hasn't been stolen? ¬) -- Ian Don't think so, but maybe it's been replaced by a hub-cap disguised as a satellite dish! |

On Wed, 26 Sep 2007 16:10:43 +0100, a particular chimpanzee, "Topref"
randomly hit the keyboard and produced: Does anyone whether the Winter Hill transmitter is down at the moment? A friend of mine in Liverpool says that he was away for a week and came back finding that he was not receiving any programs from his set-top box. Is there a way to find out what the tramsmitters are in that area and whether they are functioning correctly? All OK here on Winter Hill in Manchester. I'm sure my mother would have phoned if there had been a problem with hers in L'pool. I believe there are some parts of Sth L'pool that are served by a transmitter on the Wirral. -- Hugo Nebula "If no-one on the internet wants a piece of this, just how far from the pack have you strayed?" |
