Default Winter Hill transmitter.

Does anyone whether the Winter Hill transmitter is down at the moment? A
friend of mine in Liverpool says that he was away for a week and came back
finding that he was not receiving any programs from his set-top box.It was
fine before he went away. He has done a scan and the box reported no signals
found. He did a shut down and unplugged his box for 45 minutes, did another
scan by following the setup from beginning to get the same result.

Is there a way to find out what the tramsmitters are in that area and
whether they are functioning correctly?

Thanks in Advance

I live in Preston, served by Winter Hill, and no problems here.

Ditto - No problems with Winter Hill last night (as received from
Preston). It was OK at lunch today in (Bolton) too.

Don't think so, but maybe it's been replaced by a hub-cap disguised as a
satellite dish!

All OK here on Winter Hill in Manchester. I'm sure my mother would
have phoned if there had been a problem with hers in L'pool. I
believe there are some parts of Sth L'pool that are served by a
transmitter on the Wirral.
