Default Samsung HCP4752W (No Color)

I recently replaced my STK393-010 convergence chips for this tv.
Everything went well, solder was perfect and reinstalltion was smooth.

I turn the tv on and start the realignment procedure. No problems
there, red, green, and blue are aligned perfect.

I then exit after saving the settings and try to watch some tv. This
is where the problem is, all channels and all inputs display in black
and white.

The menu shows up in color, and the PIP (with all sources) also shows
up in color, so I know the TV is capable of producing a picture in
color, but the main output is black and white. In addition, when the
convergence was screwed up, and the self focus button was pressed, it
would fail and say (Check Factory Data). This is still happening,
preventing self focusing.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Is this a
service menu setting? I wanted to check the service menu setting
values, but I don't have the service manual, anyone know these?

Suggest rechecking all the interconnect cables within the set,.it is
possible you jostled some other interconnects while in there working with
the CG Amp. Menue is showing colour, that indicates the circuits from the
video processor to the crts is functional. ??Loose colour crystal on signal
board?? Affecting just the main picture since you indicate PIP colour is
functional.
The self focus problem, may be due to a poor quality blue crt, or mis
aligned registration, where the scan patterns do not cover the sensors
properly.
At this point it may be very wise to obtain the service manual and any
bulletins relavent to servicing your set. Otherwise you may end up offing it
to a service company to resolve the problems.

What are you using for input to display the picture? If you're using
component video, i.e. 3 video wires, then you may have them connected wrong,
or have a bad cable. Try using the TV tuner and see if the problem is still
there. If not, change the cables.
