Default Inexpensive Projector Screen

Was looking at a DIY screen project I found online and then I found
this. I have an InFocus IN24 used for watching movies, etc.
Wouldn't this work as a family movie screen in a dark room? I just
want at least 1.0 gain, I think that's what the brightness rating is
on white matte screens. I'm all ears.

I see two things wrong with it...first it would never be flat unless you
glued it to a fixed frame or something. Second...it's sqaure. You need a
16:9 screen for movies.

you can order a glass bead screen with many gain options...
the best for video projection being 1.15-1.50
however there is no cheap screen that is good for video
projectors, you get what you pay for.
call Stewart filmscreen..........
On a REAL video projector, you can set the aspect for any
size screen you like, however an LCD single lens is not
in this category.

Look through the AVS Forum DIY Screen Section:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=110

Or here are instructions to build a 100" screen:
