Unknown, what specifically is know by 'dual tuners'??? PIP and Main, ATSC
and NTSC, PAL, ? Post make and model to allow us to supply a qualified
response. If the set has independent NTSC and ATSC then dual RF Feeds may
actually work.

If you have separate inputs, then yes. I have a
Mits 65732 that has separate inputs, but few do.

And where will the QAM go in on "independent NTSC and ATSC"?

Not if you have a single antenna input. If you tell the TV you have cable,
you won't get any OTA channels higher than 13. If you tell it you have an
antenna, you won't get any cable channels above 13. Cable channels and UHF
OTA channels do not line up. Other than the numbers being different, they
are offset by 2 MHz.

The guy claims he has dual tuners. I assume that each tuner has
a separate input.

OK. It will work if he has an antenna input and a cable input. But that is a
no brainer, and why ask. He should read the instruction book. Some Sharps
have 3 input, digital cable, digital OTA, and analog. On the analog you have
to make a choice of cable or OTA.

One of these days, they will figure out how to make a tuner that can figure
out exactly which MHz offset a channel is on, and even dynamically determine
if it is 8VSB or 64QAM or 256QAM. But they would have to hire some smart
tuner designer engineers, so maybe that will be a long while.

If you get such a claim from a sales person or the marketing department,
do not make such an assumption.
