Hi. Please excuse the ping.
After reading a post from you earlier on in another thread, I noticed that you mentioned the "Sony" "V" series tv's. I myself am thinking of the purchase of the KDL32V2500 (50Hz) or the KDL32D3000 (100Hz) but I can't really see if the latter justifies the extra £300. I will admit though, that the "V" 2500 cabinet is a better looking set as apposed to the all black "D" 3000 one. I know you shouldn't judge by looks, but I have to please "Her in Doors" ;-)) Any comments greatly accepted. Regards. Mike. |

It came in three flavours: "S" the cheap option but had some extras like pip. "V" cost £350 more and has no extras. The difference is the image processor. For the extra £350 you get a SD image which looks like HD. "W" cost even more but had a better sound system. I decided on the "V" because it is something I would need to live with for several years! Looking at the Sony site the KDL32V2500 is now a previous model, I don't know where you get 50Hz there is no mention. I thought the 100/50 Hz was only relevant for old CRT televisions not LCD TVs. |

Now that's interesting, .......... there's no mention of the 32V2500 being a previous model in the shops, only on the Sony site (which I missed) As far as the 100Hz goes, it still does apply to LCD's as well as CRT's. Apparently it places a pseudo picture in between the originals to stop motion blur. Sony call it "Motionflow" + 100Hz, ............................ see here. http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProdu...TVP+LCD+TV#tab There is also a demo of it somewhere on the site, but I can't find it again :-( Any Idea what the replacement is for the 32V2500 ? Regards. Mike. |
