Hi, Im Trevor. The LCD HDTV I have is a Westing House 19 inch
widescreen. When I went to turn it on today, every channel had a blue tint to it, that I cannot even remotely change by changing the hue and tint controls. All the inputs (DVI, Component, SVid, RCA) are tinted blue. Dad is asking me to fix it, and I don't know what happened to it so it will be very hard to fix something that I dont know how to fix. Ive tried resetting to the default settings, and nothing happens. Any help? |

I'm not familiar with your specific model, but check if there is a way to 'reinitialize' the set (which is different than simply unplugging it for a time). It usually involves pressing some obscure set of buttons on the remote. ok, thanks. the OSD (on screen display) is the only thing that is 'normal' looking. Ill ask dad if he can call customer support today. Thanks! |

Customer support is probably the way to go, but if you can find a manual online, it might have the reset sequence, too. Google for the exact model number and see if anyone anywhere has posted anything about it. -- |---------------------------------------/----------------------------------| | Phil Howard KA9WGN (ka9wgn.ham.org) / Do not send to the address below | | first name lower case at ipal.net / | |------------------------------------/-------------------------------------| |

My TV as well as my ATSC tuner has had to have that done several times. Amazing, but I assume that there is some sort of startup sequence like rebooting a computer. The key for me is to actually unplug the devices rather than on/off switch. |
