I take it you are happy with the state of Britain just the way
it is?

Are you really pleased to see our Greenbelt disappear
under concrete to give yet more immigrants somewhere
to live?

Our "greenbelt" is not disappearing. That was the point in asking you
to take a look from the air.

Not wholesale - not yet. Our local council records seven
Greenbelt sites around my town. The Council attempted
to sell off two and major parts of others in the early 1990s
but was eventually thwarted by ferocious campaigning by
residents of the town. They did however manage to acquire
one by reneging on a covenant.

The danger now comes directly from central government
as GB has explicitly said that, if necessary, Greenbelt land
must be taken for housing. Folks are getting weary of
campaigning, especially as it now looks as though we
cannot win.

How do you explain that the population of the entire world is
constantly rising? Do you seriously believe that everybody else is
propagating like bunnies, but not us?

Look it up, tard.

So? There's plenty left for several more generations.

Rod.

Yes actually. I've heard that the average national birthrate of
indigenous Brits has been decreasing since the baby-boom
just after WWII, and has declined even further since marriage
went out of fashion.

You really have chosen an apt name for yourself Mr Cynic.
Such uncaring complacency is not good for us.

I learnt a long time ago that there is little point in worrying about
things that you cannot change. It is far better to learn to live with
them - and even to take advantage of them when you can.

Population is (eventually) self-limiting. There will no doubt be some
pretty nasty times when that point is reached. But not only can I do
nothing about it whatsoever, but it is unlikely to affect either
myself or my children.

He was talking about the UK population.

It's the same in the US. The native population has stabilized, the
population growth is from immigration.

I still have a problem understanding how that is supposed to explain a
steady growth in population *everywhere*.

Did someone make a claim about *everywhere*?

The excess people can't
always be from "somehere else" - somebody must be producing them
somewhere, so who are they?

For the bulk of it you might want to research India and China, at least
if your question is about world population.

Do you seriously believe that everybody else is
propagating like bunnies, but not us?

Oddly, reports are the immigrant mexican women have more children
on average than they have at home in mexico.

Does that mean more pregnancies or simply more children who survive?
There's a very simple explanation if it's the latter.

The article said that immigrant mexican women chose to have more children
than they did in mexico, it made no mention of the death rate in mexico.

Cheers,

Rich

Rod.

Not so much complacency, then, as indifference.

Apart from wringing my hands and beating my chest, what do you suggest
I should be doing instead?

Read some decent books.

I already do that, thanks. Though not as much as I used to.
