Default KCET LA now 720p ?

I noticed this at work a couple of days ago. 28-1 used to be HD
content nearly all the time and an HD simulcast of 28-2 SD 480i
running the regular SD programming, same as 28 NTSC. The last few days
28-2 is black, 28-1 goes HD or SD up-rezzed to HD as needed. I just
now found it to be 720p rather than what it had been, 1080i. Anybody
know anything about this ?

I saw this in the AVS forum regarding KCET's digital programming
changes, but it says nothing about their switch from 1080i to 720p:

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering what had happened, too. It looks
like we'll have to wait until August and see what they really do. For now,
it's KOCE, for me.

KOCE is a vast wasteland of marginal programming.

Most broadcasters will upgrade to 720P eventually.

That's true of most PBS programming, but when you watch
it in HD it is a better wasteland.

Marginal programming seems to attract viewers. Most KOCE
viewers are not watching the HD channels.

It would help if their program listing were availble someplace besides
their website. Titan TV lists 50-1 as "travel, gardening and
documentaries". YahooTV even less.

Or maybe even 1080p in some cases.

How's your data casting business going, bob? I wonder why your website
is still content free. Is there any reason for that, bob?
