Hi folks,
Does anyone have any experience with Hitachi's I'm thinking of getting a
plasma and the Hitachi P42H401 from Circuit City at $1,200 seem like a good

I don't have any personal experience with Hitachi plasma sets, but I
do see them pop up into the top 10 rated plasma sets in Consumer
Reports behind a plethora of Panasonic plasma sets.
That price definitely sounds like a good deal. Have you checked the
price on Amazon?

No ninphan, I have not checked Amazon, the thing is I also get a 10 %
discount at Circuit City on any purchuse there through my work bringing the
price down to $1080 it sound like a good deal money wise I just wonder about
the quality of Hitachi.
CC is only 2 miles from my house.
Thanks

I have had a Hitachi 42" Plasma HDS69 since wow exactly one year ago today.
Receiving DirectTv and OTA HD fantastic picture. Would by another in a
heartbeat. No service issues, just like the Hitachi I replaced after 13
years of service.

Any company that cracks the list of reliable products on Consumer
Reports is worth betting the bank on. Hitachi crack that list on both
42" and under and 42" plus plasma televisions, so I wouldn't hesitate
to go with one of their plasma televisions at that price.

Ditto for me and my 3 yr old Hitachi 42" RP HDTV. It even has more than
10,000 hours on the bulb with no signs of letting go yet. I know two
other guys with the 50" and 60" models of similar age and they rave
about them.
