4 digit channel numbers not needed

I tried to search, but found no answer. I'm trying to figure out how
to get my series 3 to only need 3 digits for channel input rather than
4. My cable channels do not go above 999. I have Comcast if that
matters.

What exactly do you mean? The S3 accepts 1, 2, 3, or 4 digit input.
If you enter less than 4 it pauses, then assumes you're done and
applies the change. Or you can hit Enter.

For example, I can enter 787 and it changes to channel 787 after a
pause, or 787-Enter changes immediately.

I mostly want it to only accept 3 numbers or less. I'm basically
trying to get rid of the pause.

Hit ENTER after the 3rd number.
