Default Viewing Tivo downloads on TV

I have downloaded some video to my Tivo desktop and wanted to burn
them to DVDs so I could watch them on TV. I converted the Tivo files
with DirectShow Dump and they work great on my PC but I cannot view
them on my TV using a DVD player. What do I need to do to watch the
videos on my TV instead of a PC?

Thanks for the help!

More than likely, this is due to the finicky nature of DVD burning and
compatibility between your burner and your DVD player. Probably nothing
to do with Tivo Desktop.

Have you been able to view anything else (home video, etc.) using the
same DVD burner and DVD player?

I agree to the below post - I had to replace all my DVD players so they
would work with DVD-R disks. then I had to replace all my kids DVD
players (all married) so they could play DVD-R disks. sigh. Luckily the
new COBY DVD players are cheap. smile. Ensure your DVD player plays as
many types as possible. DVD+R, DVD-R, etc.
