Don't know if this is on right Forum, please re-direct if I am. Just
had installed Sky +, seems to working fine apart from two small issues. Can you help. 1. Have a Panasonic Quintrix TV, and now on all the programmes I get a message in the top left corner- 1 and under this EC1/RGB. Is there any way to remove this. 2. I have an ordinary TV aerial going into the sky box, but can't access the normal TV, ie if sky goes off how do I get 'old' TV signal ? |

2. I have an ordinary TV aerial going into the sky box, but can't access the normal TV, ie if sky goes off how do I get 'old' TV signal ? There is no need for you to stick the aerial lead into the Sky box. I assume you have a Scart lead from the 'TV' Scart connector on the Sky box to your TV set ? If so, just remove your aerial lead from the Sky box, and put it back into the TV directly. |

Hit the button with a small cross to the right, inside a TV screen shape, or try other weird symbols til you find the right one. The EC1 etc is just telling you that you are using an AV input. Bill |

If so, just remove your aerial lead from the Sky box, and put it back into the TV directly. They also have the Sky box sending signal to the 2nd TV (RF2) so will need the aerial in from outside to RF In on the Sky box and then from RF1 to Main TV and RF2 to 2nd TV, so they can also send the old analogue signals up to the 2nd TV. To watch Sky use the scart connector, if widescreen TV ensure Sky box is set to 16:9 and not 4:3 Centre-cut-out. Again if widescreen TV then you need to watch channels 1 - 5 via Sky box for widescreen. To remove the "EC1/RGB" off the screen, on your TV remote press the i button twice rapidly. -- 60 day free DVD rental: www.southeastbirmingham.co.uk/dvd Mobile Offers: www.southeastbirmingham.co.uk/mob http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/signage |

2. I have an ordinary TV aerial going into the sky box, but can't access the normal TV, ie if sky goes off how do I get 'old' TV signal ? With Panasonics, assuming the Sky handset has been set up to work the volume etc of the TV, press "TV" and then "Help" to get back to terrestrial channels, then press channel numbers as required. Just press "Sky" to go back to Sky. (If the Sky handset is in the TV mode, the "Help" button is the same as the TV/AV button on the TV's own handset.) As others have already said, with Panasonics, Sonys and some others, when the Sky handset is in TV mode (ie after pressing the TV button) the "i" button switches the TV's on-screen-display on and off and it often gets pressed by accident causing a permanent channel number or AV number in the corner of the screen. |

External Connection 1 in Red / Green / Blue (full colour). There will be a button on the remote (possibly under a flap) with "i" or "+" on it. Pressing this once normally causes a brief display of what channel / connection you are on. Pressing it for 2-3 seconds chages it to permanently displayed and back. 2. I have an ordinary TV aerial going into the sky box, but can't access the normal TV, ie if sky goes off how do I get 'old' TV signal ? You need to loop it out with another lead. |
