Sky text

Hi I have just had sky installed and of course cannot get near it to
experiment. However how do I get digital teletext as when pressing the text
button on the remote I get the message to use the tv teletext?
Or should I just go and take the remote off of my wife and try it myself?

I think it depends on the page itself, but I have just done a little
test on BBC news 24 and sky news, plus BBC1. On both the news channels
either pressing the red button or pressing the text button will bring
up a page, whereas on bbc1 if I pressed text I got the tv teletext
suggestion, however, pressing the red button brings up the BBCi text.
I am not a fan of digital text to be honest but I would suggest trying
the red button whenever the text button fails.

Press the "text" button. If you get that message then the channels doesn't
have digital text. All sky. ITV, C4 and the beeb ones should have digital
text.

Hi, finally got my hands on the remote control. As you say digital text is
on all sky. ITV, C4 and the beeb,
for some strange reason I was under the impression you could get it on all
channels.
