Default what the better dvd player????

Hi guys, Im considering buying a better upconverting dvd player. I already
have The Denon 757 and it's pretty nice but I've heard some awsome things
about The Denon 2930CI. Likewise, Ive heard nice things about the new Oppo
DV-981HD. Has anyone tried any of these? I'm leaning twords the
Denon......Its a lot of money but I want the best I can afford.

George

Thanks...

I've been pleased with my Oppo 981. I haven't tried Denon but they have a good
reputation.

Among better SD-DVD players the differences become subtle and a matter of
subjective preference. You will not see a night and day difference between
them.

I have to agree with Bill, I just cannot see spending $700+ on the
Denon and not seeing that much of a difference in viewing DVDs. I have
the Oppo 970 and have been very happy with the player. I like the fact
that I can play Dvix and usb thumb drives with no problem. Jer
