My parents live in North Leeds - they have recently bought a new
Samsung Digital TV. They tell me that there is often a problem with the quality of ITV - and ITV alone. I am going to go and have a look but I thought I would ask here first. I believe their transmitter is Emley Moor. Have there been/are there problems with ITV in that area? |

There have been interruptions and reduced power in the last month across all channels but as far as I can recall they have all been overnight. -- |

I believe that Emley Moor has been particularly affected by poor quality programmes such as "Grease Is The Word", "The X Factor", "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here", and "Tonight With Trevor McDonald." Viewers of other transmitters are likely to be similarly affected. -- |

I was flicking through the channels the other night & caught an old episode of Gladiators on ftn. Now that was proper saturday night family entertainment. Where did it go wrong? FF |

Currently many of the main masts are undergoing maintenance, both
routine and leading up to analogue switch off. Winter Hill seems to have brief interruptions around 7.30pm-ish most days, during the switch from main to reserve aerials and back. Winter Hill is on reduced power most of the week at the moment, there is something going on on the mast, I think its new antennas being put up. They have some huge drums of feeder cable at the bottom at least 15 Ft high and 8 foot wide drums !! Dave |

The work is continuing until October, I think it's DSO prep work ? -- Mark Please replace invalid and invalid with gmx and net to reply. |
