Default Six Digital Channels

I have a Freeview box (BT badged Netgem) that gives a signal strength,
quality and SNR reading for each channel.

Should these readings be similar on all six channels.

I think they are all transmitted at the same strength, but local conditions
and aerial configuration may cause them to differ significantly.

So long as they are adequate for picture and sound without breakups, I
wouldn't worry.

Some transmitters have the six muxes at different output powers, and/or some
muxes are restricted in some directions from the transmitter, so it depends
which transmitter you are referring to.

No. Some transmitters use different output powers on the different muxes.
Be aware that some of the muxes use QAM64, which almost always gives a
poorer "signal quality" reading.

Sutton Coldfiled has Mux D at a higher output.

Are you sure, everywhere I've looked it's listed as 8kW, just as the other five ?

I was going by Wolfbane, states 10kW, maybe they are wrong then.

I notice, looking at it again, that at the top of the page SC had an
experimental period of transmitting Mux D at 10kW. It states the experiment
has now terminated. Actually you're right, it does still list SC Mux D in the
main listing as 10kW. Ummmm.

I see, hadn't noticed it was experimental and was a while back when I
last looked.
