Why is the sound quality on all the Virgin radio channels on satellite, lower than Capital Gold,BBCs,Talksport or Mojo? I haven't listened, but I bet it's transcoding. If the final encoder has a degraded feed, then a high bitrate for the final encode isn't going to rescue it. Cheers, David. |

Personally I find that Virgin Radio sounds dreadful, regardless of the broadcast medium (VHF/FM included), I would put it down to the audio being over processed, but it could be the result of various transcoding steps as well..... |

Do they still have Pete & Geoff, who used to be on Key 103? If so, that's probably why it sounds dreadful. Isn't the 'Pete' half of that duo, now on Radio 2 ? |

That means Radio 2 has outgrown me and I'm only 35. No wonder I've moved on to Radio 3 (when Classic FM is on adverts) ![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Mitchell -- Dom Robinson Gamertag: DVDfever email: dom at dvdfever dot co dot uk /* http://DVDfever.co.uk (editor) /* 1132 DVDs, 347 games, 314 CDs, 110 cinema films, 42 concerts, videos & news /* antibodies, steve hillage, burning crusade, sega psp, norah jones, kylie New music charts - http://dvdfever.co.uk/music.shtml Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=DVDfeverDom |
