Default Logitech Harmony v/s Peanut Remote for multiple Tivos

Hello Everyone,
First let me take a second to thank all of you. The sheer quantity of
great info I've gotten from this group is amazing. (Then again there's a
similar quantity of BS generated by just a FEW Usenet bad eggs...)

I have two Series 2 Tivos parked next to one another on my entertainment
center. I have assigned them remote ID 1 and 2. Can I control these until
individually with a Logitech Harmony remote? Does this remote have the
capability of addressing the units individually?

I have emailed Logitech support multiple times and I have gotten NO
response from them.

Thanks,
K. North

I don't know which Harmony you are considering, and I only have the
880, but the answer for it is "yes". I have the 880 in my den, and it
controls an HR10-250 (HD DirecTivo), a SD DirecTivo, and DirecTV's HD
DVR, the HR20. It does a fine job of controlling each one. My HR10 and
SD unit would be comparable to your 2 series 2 units, I also had
originally programmed these to operate as ID 1 and ID 2. But I had to
go to Harmony tech support to get the programming "just right". I will
say that Harmony's tech support was really good, and very fast, almost
no wait time.

The 688 works on both my DirecTivo's.

The 880 can handle two DirecTV DVRs, I suppose it could have two Tivos.

I find a surprising number of things that aren't easy to accomplish via
their web interface, but that are handled by customer suport twiddling
some bits on your behalf. Then you download the new configuration as
if you had crafted it yourself. They are pretty quick to reply on
customer email. Maybe they aren't so good at presales.
