People (especially those new to HD) come here for answers. People like you who think that it is funny to post mis-information (on purpose) are cruel and not really what this group (except for Bob Miller) is all about. Your calling newbies gullible just shows how disrespectful you are of other people who may not have as much knowledge as you. Rather than respond individually to all my fans, I'll do it here. I suppose it makes you "experts" feel helpful, superior and self-servingly smug to answer even the most ridiculous and repetitive questions. Whatever happened to a friendly but firm RTFM? Do a google search? Read the last dozen posts here? No, these tools pop on here, ask a question my 11 year old daughter could answer, and wait to be spoonfed an answer. Some even pop back on to _demand_ an answer if you idiot-enablers don't answer them quickly enough. There's nothing cruel about what I did. It was humor, and if the self-righteous putzs like yourself don't find it funny, that's your prerogative. I have plenty of respect for people who lack my vast and amazing storehouse of knowledge. I have considerably less respect for those who won't make the most miniscule attempt to educate themselves. I also don't think a lack of knowledge necessarily makes a person gullible...heck, look no further than this thread to see a bunch of people who have some knowledge yet are gullible as hell. If you really want to help someone, plus revel in being an asshole, go hang out at best buy or circuit city and eavesdrop on a salesman and some customers in the hd department and break in when they start spewing crap. Now that's some real fun! Of course, Ric Seyler might be there trying to get them to buy expensive HDMI cables! -- Bill R. Remove nospam_ in e-mail address to reply by e-mail |

Would a signal amp which attaches to the antenna and has the power supply at the cable end work with digital signals? No, it won't. You need to get a digital amplifier. Of course, you might not need it if you get a good digital antenna. Equally important is a good quality digital cable. As long as the entire signal path is digital, you should be okay. OTOH it was a fun class to teach, but you needed to keep your place on the outline as quite a few of the female students were quite capable of making you forget where you were, where you were going, or where you had been... in the lecture. Actually they weren't just capable, they were quite good at it. There you have the very reason that I never considered teaching at the collegiate level. Too easily distracted, it was bad enough being a student with them. Matthew -- I'm a consultant. If you want an opinion I'll sell you one. Which one do you want? |
