Yep, annoying really as I usually offer free postage but if I'm selling something that I want a 25 quid reserve on I have to start the auction at 25 quid. Still not sure why they changed that as I'm sure you used to be able to set low reserves. -- Regards, Stuart. |

Think a report to eBay will do the trick! You can charge whatever you want for P&P - provided it's stated. Not for a while now... "Sellers may charge reasonable postage & packaging charges to cover the costs of posting, packaging, and handling the items they are selling. While eBay will not prescribe exactly what a seller may or may not charge, eBay will consider member reports when determining whether or not a seller's postage, handling, packaging, and/or insurance charges are excessive. Postage & packaging and handling charges may not be listed as a percentage of the final sale price." -- Bob Eager begin 123 a new life...take up Extreme Ironing! |

When you are going to try to buy an item on Ebay allways when deciding your maximum bid take into consideration the P&P and in some cases the VAT to be added. Once you have set your maximum bid, DO NOT exceed that. Then if you win you have it at or below what it is worth to you. To me working this way it does not matter what the P&P is, it could be £5 or £50. If selling take care as well. I won an Unicol projector stand and the delivery asked was £10. Now they are heavy, and the 3 pieces came in 3 seperate parcels, the total carriage came to £27-50. Now I won at £20 ! So the seller really sold it for next to nothing. -- Regards, David Please reply to News Group |

To me working this way it does not matter what the P&P is, it could be £5 or £50. Soime people are incapable of adding the P&P and the selling price together themselves though or calculating VAT. The amount of people who bid on my auctions then complain about P&P, it's written down ffs, it was that much when you bid on the item. Not that hard to work out. If selling take care as well.
