Hi - I have a problem recording channel 5 in that the sound is
intermittent to the extent that the programmes are almost unwatchable. This only happens when recording channel 5. Watching it live there's no problem and there's no problem recording other channels. Any ideas would be appreciated. Many thanks. Colin |

Sky+? VCR? Super 8 camera pointed at the TV? If the former, try switching it off and on again at the mains, that sometimes clears glitches like this (doesn't Jomtien's FAQ say this as well?) -- Tumbleweed email replies not necessary but to contact use; tumbleweednews at hotmail dot com |

Recording on Sky+. I've tried the mains off route but it doesn't make
any difference. Thanks for your response. Tumbleweed wrote: "Colin" wrote in message ... I recorded a film off Ch5 a few days back and watched it last night - no problems at all: so there isn't at least a continuous problem with the transmission. Perhaps your dish has become very slightly misaligned and is having difficulty with certain channels? |

Could be a model/firmware specific bug. |

I have been having problems myself with sky+ (Amstrad!) on C5 for a couple
of months. My CSI recordings have sometimes been unwatchable - though not every time. Also I have problems with 4 as well so I started recording from E4 instead and this is ok. I have tried all the usual like switching the box off and also done a planner rebuild but still no joy. Signal quality is good from both lnb's. If it was a disc problem it would affect all recordings, so I am at a total loss as to why it is happening. MickK "Colin" wrote in message ...
