Another Sky Anytime Question

Can anyone tell me why it is only the newer Sky+ boxes that can receive the
Sky Anytime service, unfortunately I've got one of the older versions and
can't get it. Also I recently got one of those 47" lcd TV's from Aldi's, can
anyone tell me where to get a remote code for it, cheers

The newer boxes have larger HDDs, part of this is reserved for the SA
service.

Sky "forced recording" service requires an allocation of disk space so they
only offer the service on box's "they" have designed using larger disks. I
haven't heard of anyone getting anytime by fitting a larger disk themselves.

because the newer ones have a far larger hard drive.
the older sky+ boxes simply don't have the space.

That's a bummer, I put a 160 into mine, think sky will enable it if you ask

That's a bummer, I put a 160 into mine, think sky will enable it if you

I don't think they support users upgrading the drive. Anytime is not user
specific. The box has to be able to record all the "broadcast" sent to
Anytime equipped box's. Anytime requires more disk space than some SKY+'s
have.

I thought mine was the newer version (thomson silver buttons on RHS, green
circle in middle) but still no anytime

Force a software update by doing 'housekeeping' on the planner. that
will make anytime appear if your box has had half its disk stolen by
sky

Why do you want it? I can't think of a reason for it at all. Does anyone
actually use it? I don't understand what benefit it is meant to be either
for me or Sky. Anyone able to explain the advantages for me?
