Default Sky+ fee going from 1st July?

Yet again the rumour that the Sky+ fee is being abolished has resurfaced.

This time it's on uk.media.tv.misc and predictably the poster does not cite
a source.

He states that from 1st July the fee will disappear and Sky+ recording will
be available on all packages, even the starter package at 15 per month.

Can anyone corroborate this?

Source is Sky itself. The "winback team" are calling recent
cancellations and offering this with a £20 credit to cover the 2
months until july.

got a 10 quid credit for June and then free from July onwards.

That would probably be due to one of the call centres being located in
India. Quite a few of the locals there are indeed Indian; or so I am
told.

English? Not very likely. Scottish or Mancunian, maybe. And most of
them sound like they are drunk or on crack or both.
