If Bill wasn't missing in action he'd have a field day here
http://www.satellitetvsolutions.co.u...iewDoc&docId=6 Some real gems especially in the pictures 6 and 7 down. A circular FM all-rounder, horizontally polarized DAB array, three arrays and a Sky dish on the same mast with tiny wall bracket and no sign of earth bonding on the multi switch system lower down. Pity also the Ipswich customer wanting the high quality install and ending up with a HP DAB aerial and a totally inadequate chimney bracket! On a totally OT note I also wonder how the Ford Escort van copes with the weight of all those ladders on the roof. It must be fun on the corners. In their defence, at least they use an analyser. |

I thought it was another rogues gallery. Had to start at the beginning again when I realised it was their best examples of works done. I like the picture of the ladders propped against a tractor, all the lads have a spectrum analyser and a lack of safety concerns! I say all the lads, either they all drive knackered escorts or there's only actually one bloke an he has the analyser. -- Regards, Stuart. |

Like Lurch, I thought at first it was another "rouges gallery". Anyway, I'm sure Bill will have a laugh when he comes back from his holiday. Does "CAI" stand for "Cowboys And Indians"? Cheers, Ian. |

I also can't get my head round their obsession with mounting dishes so high, or on the same pole as the aerial. IMHO this looks worse than having the dish separate and lower down. Also not convinced that the see through dishes are that unobtrusive. |

Also not convinced that the see through dishes are that unobtrusive. Totally agree. My terrestrial aerial is on a 5 metre mast on the apex of my house to see over trees, whereas my dish is only about 4 metres above ground level and hidden from view around the side of the house and behind the chimney breast. The transparent dishes seem to be used as an excuse for some truly dire positioning on the front wall of properties. The mounting brackets seem to be very visible behind the dish itself. I also think some of the mounting looks very lazy with as many arrays on one mast as possible. The installation at the police HQ is typical, the arrays are mounted on the hand rail supports. |
