STB Recommendation: OTA ATSC + Analog Cable???

I've tried many Google searches and they seem to get bogged down with
debates over OTA ATSC + Digital Cable.

Is there a decent STB where I can get my local broadcasts HDTV OTA
plus it'll tune my analog cable channels???

Thanks!!!

Sure is! I would recommend the LG 3200a.

If your TV has a built-in ATSC tuner the solution is simple. You connect
antenna to the RF input and the analog cable to the composite inputs
on your TV. That is what I am doing.

Mine is an HDTV monitor, hence my need for a STB.

I'm looking into the LG tuner. Thanks all.

You should also consider the Sony HD200 or HD200,
which are near clones of the LG box.

Check WalMart, some of the newer DVD recorders have ATSC tuners, and
they should tune cable channels as well.

The Sammy DOES NOT receive/decode 'analog' cable channels. It does
however decode cable QAM digital signals.

The sammy is really only good for HDTV OTA (very good for OTA) or
free cable HDTV. It's tuner interface software is crude and buggy,
and you have to use an AB switch for both cable and antenna. What
you really want is something that let's you select, label, and order
the channels you want. Don't know if that's available in a good STB
(5th gen, good picture etc). The sammy will probably be popular for
a long time as the NTSC won't be missed when it goes byebye.
