Default Can't clear the "To Do List"

I have an old Sony SVR2000 running as a DVR only with no subscription
and recently had a hard drive crash. I got a ver 1.3 image file and
upgraded the hard drive to a 120 gig and all is well except the "To Do
List".

The image file has a huge amount of "To Do List" entries for
recordings throughout the day both morning and evening and I can't
delete any of them. Pressing clear on the remote does nothing, I see
the green power button respond to the press but that's it. This makes
the unit pretty useless unless I unplug it when not in use.

I tried running the guided setup to clear everything but then it gets
stuck in a loop due to lack of subscription so I have to restore the
original image. Is there a way to edit the list on a PC to clear the
entries? I only use the unit for manual recording so don't really need
a "To Do List".

I have also tried to enable "Backdoor codes" but this doesn't seem to
be possible without a subscription.

In case in think that I am too cheap to subscribe, I live in the West
Indies and Tivo service is not available.

I would be grateful for any help in getting this working or possibly
even better would be to provide me with a link to a working Ver 1.3
image file.

Thanks...

You sure you got a /correct/ image file? The Sony units were oddballs.

I bought a refurbished Series 1 standalone a couple of years back,
and initially I didn't have a subscription (if one is available, I
later found out it is well worth it). It had a few hidden season
passes left over from a previous owner that it wouldn't let me see,
or delete, because I didn't have a subscription. As I recall,
Messages & Setup|System Reset|Clear Program Data & To Do List fixed
this. "Program Data" refers to guide data, not your recordings.
I would presume if you use this you will have to re-enter your
manual recording schedule.

Yes I definitely have the correct image...and I figured out how to
delete the season passes.

I feel like an idiot but as I never used passes before it was not
something I needed to figure out before LOL.

I'm not sure if this is common to all but finally after pressing just
about every button found that the channel up down works for page
up/down revealed the option to delete the entry. Thanks Tivo for
making that so obvious :-)

So finally I am back to how things worked before...
