OH FFS, please, can you not recognise the big ugly thing hiding under
the bridge over there in rec.arts.drwho?

Please stop cross-posting this now-completely-off-topic troll-fest, it's
pretty clear that either the guy is deliberately trying to wind you up
(most likely, IMO) or his opinions are explicitly preformed and will not
change based on your posts.

I didn't start the original post. I've no idea which group it originated
in. I've no idea whether the original poster cross-posted it or whether a
subsequent poster did.

You're right, I could (and probably should) ignore his posts. But isn't
it just as easy for you to ignore this thread?

Yeah, why should you bother with newsgroup titles at all? After all,
everyone else can just ignore the posts they don't like, so why not just
post everything into the same group? Your time is far more important than
ours.

Even better, cross-post it to _all_ the groups, because your posts are so
interesting that everyone should get a chance to read them!

Did you even read a word I wrote? I won't bother trying to explain it to you
again.

I suspect that the long-term influence of Yads on this group has
desensitized us to how much annoyance these off-topic crossposts can
cause.

Possibly. Although you get idiots and flame wars occurring in almost any
group. However, I object to some guy who thinks he's a member of the usenet
police criticizing me for responding to a post.

Looking back through this thread's history, it appears that Agamemnon made
the first post. He posted it to 2 groups. Every response has thus ended up
in both groups. I don't look at every post I ever respond to just to ensure
it's not being cross-posted elsewhere.

Chill out a bit Geoff. You'll live longer.

Does it have to be spelled out to you?

Rose, He's gay she's and alien

A two second joke like that counts as prevalent?

TEOTW, Cassandra was born a boy and then became a woman.

Trans-sexual not homosexual and as such not gay. It's also just a two second joke.

TEC/TDD, Gay British army officer, Captain Jack says that everyone in
the future is gay.

Your best chance of making your point and you completely miss it. Nancy gets
caught in this guys house after the air raid but accuses him of shagging the
butcher. Thats a full 20 seconds worth of that scene. Also it's the doctor and
not Captain Jack that says that everyone "dances" meaning not just gay but cross
species as well.

Badwolf, Shot of Captain Jack's naked body was to have shown his arse
but was cut by the BBC against Gayvies wishes

In a room with two female robots but point taken. However that's still only ~10
seconds.

TPOTW, Gay kiss between the Doctor and Captain Jack

That lasts about 5 frames. Present but not prevalent.

New Earth, Intersexual body swapping and the Doctor acts like a gay

That's because *Cassandra* -a female- has posessed him and not due to being gay.

T&C, Doctor says he assumed one of the characters was gay

I skimmed Tooth & Claw to find that but I missed that one.

ROC/AOS, Gay relationship shown between Ricky and whatshisname from that
boy band.

Wrong. Ricky's straight. Dunno about the boy band guy but there's no
relationship. In the draft scripts Ricky was gay and there was a relationship
but that was removed by RTD of all people. http://www.aintitcool.com/?q=node/30520

TIL, Gay son continually put down by his father

About 10 seconds worth of very ambiguous comments that hint more at having a
violent father than a gay son. The son may be gay but once more it is hardly
prevalent.

TSP, Gay embrace

Can't find that one either. I hope you're not counting that small group hug
after escaping certain death at the hands of the Ood because if you are you're
really scraping the barrel.

Gridlock, Lesbianism and cat sex

Two references to the girls being married and they hold hands for about seven
seconds. And unless cat sex is a gay sex euphemism of some sort then it doesn't
count as that relationship is boy-girl. Once more, present but hardly prevalent.

DIM, Reference made by the Doctor to someone giving him a gay kiss

And the "musical theatre" joke by Tallulah, along with two lads in Hooverville
IIRC. 10-25 seconds of across both episodes though.

That's about 1.5-2 mins across the first 2.5 series maybe that can be stretched
to 3-5 min by adding any snippets that we've forgotten about but by definition
that means they weren't prevalent or else they'd have been remembered.

BULL****.

For 42 years there was not a mention of gays in Doctor Who and then Gayvies
takes over and its in over 1/3 of the episodes and every single episode of
Torchwood even though only 6% of the population is gay. There are even more
references to gay sex or gay relationships than there are to straight ones
and this is a show supposed to be watched by children so there should be no
references to sex at all.

For 42 years there was not a mention of mobile 'phones in Doctor Who and

and every single episode of Torchwood even though only 86% of the
population have mobile 'phones. There are even more references to mobile

And yet just about every single one of your posts to these newsgroups
mentions homosexuality as well. What does *this* tell us?

For 42 years, Dr Who was broadcast during the 20th century.

Hello!!! This is the 21st century. Some things that were acceptable a few
decades ago are unacceptable today. And vice versa.

Dr Who has moved with the times. Agamemnon is a relic from the past. A
dinosaur.

In all that time the actors playing DW were gay, then look at the DW fans
like Yads 40 still living with his mother, then look at yourselves

Socrates taught his students that the pursuit of truth can only begin once
they start to question and analyze every belief that they ever held dear. If
a certain belief passes the tests of evidence, deduction, and logic, it
should be kept. If it doesn't, the belief should not only be discarded, but
the thinker must also then question why he was led to believe the erroneous

As far as I'm aware, none of the actors who have played Dr Who are or were
gay. Not that it would make any difference if they had been. Their sexual
orientation is none of mine, or anybody else's business.

I'm quite happy with my life, thanks. However, as someone who seems to spend
their life doing nothing but poking fun at others, maybe you should take
your own advice.

I can't stand Aggy, but if you think this analogy is apt, you are a nuts.
