All I have to say is Gabby Logan and Hazel Irvine. Even the football and
snooker have been dumbed down in order to appeal primarily to women.

Neither Gabby Logan nor Hazel Irvine are in any way 'dumbing down' the
sport. Maybe you can explain why you think they are. Besides, most
football programs that I can think of on BBC1 is fronted by male
presenters. Maybe you think they are women. Maybe you think they are all
gay. Maybe you think they are pigs.

What do you do when you are settling down of an evening intending to watch
football and find that it's being presented by a woman? Put on a tape of
your old favourite, 'Anteaters ****-Frenzy III' again?

Well, you can't beat a spot of nasal sex can you?

I think Sir Patrick is having a laugh, not unusual in someone with
the
keen

It's not women producers that Sir Patrick is complaining about. Doctor
Who
was originally produced by a woman as well. It's women executives who
are
running the BBC who only think about making programmes for women. Where
has
the balance gone? Almost everything on the BBC apart from Top Gear is
directed at women. There is hardly anything for men on TV anymore. Half
the
countries population and the BBC licence fee payers are being alienated
or
excluded from TV.

Sports fans are not exclusively male. Soap fans are not exclusively
female.

I don't know much about Gabby Logan and Hazel Irvine. But I can guarantee
that Beckham could teach them a thing or 2 if they really want to learn
about how to dumb down a sports commentary...

Since you don't know who Gabby Logan and Hazel Irvine are I must assume that
you are completely gay and don't watch any sport on the BBC or ITV along
with every other man who does not know who these woman are.

I knew the people who keep on defending RTD's gay agenda were gay themselves
and this proves it.

Patrick Moore blames women for falling BBC standards

Tue May 8, 2007 1:59PM BST

LONDON (Reuters) - Veteran astronomer Sir Patrick Moore has blamed women
bosses at the BBC for ruining television with a galaxy of lifestyle shows he
says should be consigned to the nearest black hole.

"The trouble is that the BBC now is run by women and it shows: soap operas,
cooking, quizzes, kitchen-sink plays," he told the Radio Times. "You
wouldn't have had that in the golden days."

Sir Patrick, 84, who is celebrating the 50th year of "The Sky at Night",
one of the world's longest-running series, said television was now "much
worse" than when he started out.

Political correctness has wrecked some of his favourite shows, he added.

"I used to watch Doctor Who and Star Trek, but they went PC -- making women
commanders, that kind of thing. I stopped watching," he said.

Moore once even cast a monocled eye over EastEnders while in hospital, but
said he wasn't hooked.

"I suppose it's true to life. But so is diarrhoea - and I don't want to see
that on television," he said.

Women newsreaders didn't escape his criticism.

"These jokey women are not for me," he said. "There was one day (in 2005)
when BBC news went on strike. Then we had the headlines read by a man,
talking the Queen's English, reading the news impeccably."

Moore, who admitted being "rather hurt" earlier this year when the BBC put
out the 650th edition of his programme at the unearthly hour of 1:55 a.m.,
has dreamed up a solution to TV's woes.

"I would like to see two independent wavelengths -- one controlled by women,
and one for us, controlled by men. I think it may eventually happen."

The BBC shrugged off the criticism, describing Moore as one of the most
loved figures on British television.

"He is, as always, forthright in his personal views and that's what we all
love about him," a BBC spokesman said.

Aggy - Are you in any way related to the aformentioned Mr P Moore?

Regards

H

Really? I though we loved his presentation of astronomy, and hoped he

Agreed. Flame wars not needed.

You're trying so hard to convince yourself you're straight aren't you?
And it fails every time. It's an embarrassment to watch.

Stephen has professed to be "gay" before on this newsgroup. It's no biggie.
So he's gay. So what? Being gay is no longer a crime. I still don't agree
with RTD's gay agenda and think it's damaging Doctor Who but i don't agree
that all homosexual's should be to blame for this.
