Alba failure mode
I have an Alba STB2NS box and it can't find any channels. Last night it
found a few - today it can't even find the transmitter name (Waltham) I search and it tells me to check the aerial. I have - it is okay. Is this a typical sign of death?

Is there anything to choose between models? I suspect you get what you pay for. After two Albas went back I changed to a Tesco Digilogic (yes, I'm a cheapskate). The second one lasted a week over 12 months and they wouldn't discuss returning it. The DHD4000 I then got in the Argos selloff is still going after 6 months. Probably worth buying somewhere that does a cheap extended warranty. Steve

I wanted 2 SCARTs so choice was a bit restricted.
